In the "Kill" category, there are 3 awards: One for most kills in a game (The Skull of Retribution), one for most cumulative kills in a 5 game span (The Skull of Blood), and one for best average in that 5 game span (The Skull of Doom).
In the "Score" category, there are 3 awards: One for most points in a game (The Skull of the Armageddon), one for most cumulative points in a 5 game span (The Skull of the Apocalypse), and one for best average in that 5 game span (The Skull of Annihilation).
In the next category, "Ratio", there are two awards, one for best ratio in a game (The Skull of the Diseased), and one for best ratio over a 5 game span (The Skull of the Plague).
In the final category, the "Points per Kill" Category, there are also two awards, one for best PPK in a game (The Skull of the Reaper), and one for best PPK over a 5 game span (The Skull of the Soultaker).
Now to answer the questions some may have about the above, especially the fact that there is 3 awards in the first two categories, and that it seems like whomever gets the most kills/ points will automatically win the award for the best average. This will probably be true the majority of the time, but not always. Since it is based on a 5 game span, the total is divided by 5, EXCEPT in the case where a member may not be in on all 5 games. If a member is in for only 4 games, they do receive the benefit of the doubt, and this exception is good up to a 3 game period of the 5 game span. If a member is only involved in 2 games, those games will only be used as "fillers" for future 5 game spans in which that player may have been missing in some of those games.
Why 5 games? Simply because we use a 5 map rotation. This DOES NOT mean that the 5 game span necessarily includes all 5 maps. Generally, I keep a 2-1 odds screenshot ONLY. Because of the advantages we have when playing on the XServer, It's my opinion that we are not being tested unless outnumbered 2-1. However, I do tend to take screenshots even when we are not outnumbered 2-1, and these games can be used as "fillers", if needed, with these backups being used in order, from the highest amount of being outnumbered, to the lowest.
In the "Ratio" category, I have been lenient for now, but as of this posting, will no longer count any games in which a member cannot average at least one kill per minute on the 15minute time we use on the server. If you put up a 14/0, it WILL NOT be counted.
Same with the "Points per Kill" category...If you don't get 15 kills in that game, the PPK for that game is not considered eligible for the single game PPK (but is counted in your total average).
ALL screenshots are from the XServer ONLY...No outside games allowed. (Sorry, Tone...I've kept some of those scores you've put up in the "Big Unit" Gameroom, and they were outstanding!) Screenshots, FOR THE TIME BEING, will only be used from games I am in...This is a test to see if I really want to do this; if I find my email getting flooded, I know I'll be less motivated to continue, but I really want to give this a twirl, so please be patient and let me "find my groove" on this. This may seem unfair to some, but please read above again...If you are not involved in enough games, I try and make it up by saving screenshots of previous scores in order to get you inserted into a 5 game span with the rest of us that may be on more often. However, keep in mind that there are plenty of awards for individual game efforts and ratios, more than even the awards given for total scores, so you may fall ineligible for only a couple awards if you cannot stay in long enough.
All screenshots are used in order of the number assigned to them during the screenshot. In the cases of "discards" (not enough bad guys in a game...), the next numbered screenshot is used in the grouping process.
There have been 11 "groups" of 5 games so far. Each Skull will have the Group# first, the award-receiver's name second, and their score third. The first 2 groups were when we played to a hundred points, so the scores will be lower, the third group will have 1-2 games involved while still playing 100 pt games, but by the 4th group, we are completely in the 15 minute game room rule.
If you're on the list, congratulations... If not, we look forward to adding your name to the various lists in which you may specialize.
